🌐 Uidai – How to Download Adhar Card – E-Aadhaar

The Aadhar card is a crucial document in India, serving as proof of identity and residence. With the increasing use of digital platforms, it’s now possible to download your Aadhar card online. Here’s a detailed guide on how to download your Aadhar card:

Method 1: Download using Aadhaar Number

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website: www.uidai.gov.in
  2. Click on “Download Aadhaar” under the “My Aadhaar” tab.
  3. Select “Aadhaar Number” as the download method.
  4. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha code.
  5. Click “Send OTP” and enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  6. Select “Do you want a masked Aadhaar” option (optional).
  7. Enter the OTP again and click “Verify And Download” to download your e-Aadhaar card.

Method 2: Download using Enrolment ID (EID)

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website: www.uidai.gov.in
  2. Click on “Download Aadhaar” under the “My Aadhaar” tab.
  3. Select “Enrolment ID” as the download method.
  4. Enter your 14-digit Enrolment ID, select the date and time of enrolment, and type the security code.
  5. Click “Send OTP” and enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  6. Enter the OTP again and click “Verify And Download” to download your e-Aadhaar card.

Method 3: Download using Virtual ID

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website: www.uidai.gov.in
  2. Click on “Download Aadhaar” under the “My Aadhaar” tab.
  3. Select “Virtual ID” as the download method.
  4. Enter your Virtual ID number.
  5. Follow the same steps as above to verify and download your e-Aadhaar card.

Method 4: Download using mAadhaar App

  1. Download and install the mAadhaar app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
  2. If you have registered before, enter your phone number and verify it using the OTP sent to your mobile.
  3. Once logged in, navigate to the “My Aadhaar” section.
  4. Select “Download Aadhaar” and follow the in-app instructions to verify and download your e-Aadhaar card.

Method 5: Download using DigiLocker

  1. Visit the DigiLocker website or download the app and sign in.
  2. Select “UIDAI” as the partner and “Aadhaar” as the document.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  4. Downloaded Aadhaar will be available under “Issued” in the app.
  5. Use this digitally verified copy of your Aadhaar card.

Password Protection

Once downloaded, your e-Aadhaar card is password-protected. To print it, follow these steps:

  1. Open the PDF file using any PDF reader like Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Edge.
  2. Enter the password, which consists of the first four letters of your name (in uppercase) followed by the year of your birth in YYYY format.

Remember to ensure your mobile number is registered with your Aadhaar during enrolment for successful download.
