Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th standard) with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories.
Age Limit
Applicants should be between 18 to 40 years of age as of March 3, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.
Salary
The selected candidates will receive the following Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000 to ₹29,380 per month
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month
An annual increase of 3% is applicable, subject to fulfillment of conditions as per GDS rules.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a system-generated merit list, prepared by converting grades/points to marks in the 10th standard examination, aggregated to the accuracy of four decimals. No examination will be conducted. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through SMS and email and will undergo document verification and, if required, a basic medical fitness test.

- Exemptions: Female candidates, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants are exempted from payment of the fee.
