Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released the official notification for ESIC Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II Recruitment 2026 to fill 225 vacancies across India. This recruitment offers a valuable opportunity for MBBS-qualified doctors to secure a central government medical job with an attractive salary, job security, and additional allowances. Under this recruitment drive, ESIC will appoint candidates to the post of Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II, carrying a pay scale of Level-10 (₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month) plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) as per the 7th Pay Commission. The selection of candidates will be purely based on CMSE-2024 marks, and only those whose names appear on the Pratibha Setu Portal of UPSC for CMSE-2024 are eligible to apply.

Candidates must possess a recognized MBBS degree as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and should have completed the compulsory rotating internship. Applicants who have not completed the internship at the time of application may also apply, provided they complete it successfully before appointment. Registration with the National Medical Council or State Medical Council is mandatory. The maximum age limit is 35 years, with age relaxation applicable for ESIC employees, government servants, and reserved categories as per government norms.

Out of the total 225 vacancies, several posts include backlog vacancies, and the final number of vacancies may vary depending on organizational requirements. Candidates selected under the PwBD category will be adjusted against their respective main categories such as UR, SC, ST, OBC, or EWS.

The offline application process requires candidates to fill out the prescribed application form, attach self-attested copies of relevant certificates, and send it by Speed Post to the designated address at Panchdeep Bhawan, New Delhi. The application must clearly mention “Application for the post of IMO Gr. II in ESIC” on the envelope. The last date to submit the application is 17 February 2026, while candidates from specified remote areas can apply until 24 February 2026.
